Urma S. Hull, 94, of Camden passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 in Camden following an extended illness. Urma was born to the late Press and Arkie (See) Sprouse on June 13, 1922 at her family’s home near Normantown in Gilmer County, WV. She was the last member of her immediate family. On February 9, 1952, she married Edward Clyde (Junior) Hull who preceded her in death on November 30, 2004. Also preceding her in death were five sisters: Verna Sprouse, Edna Smith, Ercie Runyon, Elsie Ellison and Pearl Carpenter and five brothers: Lytle, Ernest, Roy, Glen and Robert. Urma’s daughter: Kathryn Sue Clevenger and husband Kenneth “Dick” of Camden and twin grandchildren: Kelly Wagoner (Husband, Dustin) of Camden and Kyle Clevenger (fiance, Starr Cooper) of Buckhannon, survive. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Urma graduated from the Bird One Room Elementary School, Normantown High School in 1941 and from WV Business College in Clarksburg. She retired from Weston Central School in 1985 as a librarian to help care for her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. She was a member of the Freemansburg United Methodist Church and also a member of the Freemansburg Community Club. She was an avid reader, excellent cook, seamstress and quilter. Her family, church, community and friends were very important to her. Traveling was one of her pleasures. She made numerous trips to Canada, Florida and Myrtle Beach on vacation. Her greatest desire was to see the Grand Canyon, which she did twice in her later years. At age 91, she traveled with her family to see the Yellowstone National Park. She and her husband enjoyed many years of camping especially at Cedar Creek State Park. The family would like to thank the Lewis County Senior Citizens Center for their services to help keep Urma at home and to care provider, Delilah Syrews. Also, the family wants to thank nieces, Sharon Hull, Clara Nicholson, Carol Ford, Judy Cornelison, and special friend, Marolyn Perry for her help, love and support.
