Janet Marie Snyder,90, of Weston, WV passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016. She was born June 13, 1926 in Archbald, PA; daughter of Peter and Mae( Klopfer )Kraft. She was married May 29, 1948, to T. Arnett Snyder who preceded her in death May 23, 1994. She was also preceded in death by a son and only child, Alan David Snyder, October 14, 1983, a brother Bruce Kraft and wife Alma Kraft, and a special devoted friend, Judge William “Les” Fury. Surviving are a nephew: Glenn Kraft and wife Ann, Scott Township, Pa., a niece: Lori Giello and great-nephew: Jonathan Giello, Peckville, Pa. Mrs. Snyder was a 1942 top honor and youngest graduate of Archbald Pa. High School, also graduate of Scranton Lackawanna Business College and worked as a Secretary and payroll clerk at the Scranton Garment Co. until moving to WV. She was a former organist at St Luke’s Lutheran Church, Archbald, Pa. and church school instructor. She was a 60 year plus member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Weston, also the E.C.W. assistant organist and former children’s choir director. She retired from Lewis County Savings and Loan Co. after 16 years of service. She held the position of Treasurer on the Board of Directors and Secretary /Treasurer of the WV Savings and Loan Company. Former Treasure of the Floyd Funeral Home, 50 plus year member of the Weston Chapter #40 O.E.S., member of T.O. Snaith Hospital Auxiliary and former Deerfield Country Club and Deerfield Ladies Golf Association. Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. from St. Paul’s Episcopal Church of Weston with Father John Valentine officiating. Interment will follow services in the Weston Masonic Cemetery. Weston Chapter #40 Order of Eastern Star will conduct services at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening from the funeral home chapel.
