Anne Scott
Anne M. (Briody) Scott, 94, of Elm Street, Westerly, passed away at L&M Hospital in New London on Sunday, December 18, 2016. She was the wife of the late Robert Scott, a former Westerly Police Captain. Born in Hopkinton, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary H. Briody. Anne worked as the Office Manager for Shute Insurance for many years. She will be remembered for love of knitting. She leaves her daughter Patricia S. Derouin of Westerly; two grandsons, Thomas Derouin and his wife Sandi and Scott Derouin; as well as two great granddaughters, Amber and Alyse. Anne was predeceased by two siblings, Thomas Briody and Katherine Nolan; and her son-in-law Agenor Derouin. Visiting hours are omitted. Funeral services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Helen Mochetti Children’s Room, c/o The Westerly Library, Broad St., Westerly, RI 02891 in Anne’s memory.
