Laura Lee Oertly KANE Laura Lee Oertly, 46, of 323 Bayard Street, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday (December 25, 2016) at her residence. Born June 15, 1970, in Johnsonburg, she was a daughter of Edward Oertly and Lois (Lehman) Banaszewski Laura did private duty nursing in the Kane area. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #307. Surviving are her father, Edward Oertly and her stepmother Martha Oertly of Mt. Jewett; her mother Lois (Lehman) Banaszewski and her stepfather Tony Banaszewski of Petrolia; two daughters, Caitlin Madden and her husband Jeremy Madden of Drums, PA and Delaney Oertly of Kane; a son Brandon Johnston and his fiancee Savannah Kohut of Kane; two grandsons, Jace Johnston and Judd Johnston, both of Kane; her sister, Samantha Reigh and her husband Christopher Reigh of Butler; and two stepsisters Cathy Walters of Wilcox and Chris Cherry of Ridgway. She was preceded in death by a brother, Matthew Oertly. Friends will be received Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. where funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday.
