Barbara Udovich

Barbara A. Udovich, 87, of Treasure Lake, Dubois and previously of Kane, died Tuesday (Oct. 4) at UPMC-Altoona. She was born May 8, 1929 in Kane, the daughter of the late Melvin and Hazel (Ross) Benson. On Sept. 1, 1951 she married Ivan Udovich, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Udovich was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church. She had worked as a cook at the Shady Point Restaurant and the Tastee Freeze, both in Kane. She also had worked at the Holgate Toy Factory and Bush's Pharmacy. Surviving relatives include three daughters, Debra (Hal) Steiner of Treasure Lake, Lori (Craig) Feldbauer, of St. Marys and Lisa (Tim) Clark of Kane; one brother, Raymond (Margaret) Benson of Jamestown, NY; three sisters, Dorie Nelson of Champagne, IL, Marian Fitzella and Rheta Tillburg, both of Kane; Six grandchildren, Eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Leona Davidson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday (Oct. 8) at 9:00 a.m. at St. Callistus Catholic Church, with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, officiating. Burial will be in St. Callistus Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to UPMC-Altoona Foundation Fifth Floor Tower, 620 Howard Ave., Altoona, PA 16601 .
