Agnes R. Fitzgerald KANE Agnes R. Fitzgerald, 96, a resident of the Lutheran Home at Kane, and formerly of Kane, passed away Saturday (October 29, 2016) at UPMC Hamot in Erie. Born March 26, 1920, in Wilcox, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Anna Mishenko Taraska. On September 27, 1942, in Rasselas, she married Donald Fitzgerald who preceded her in death. Mrs. Fitzgerald, who was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church, had been employed at various times by Holgate, Stackpole, Temple Pharmacy and Broadbent-Stiteler. Surviving are two daughters, Patricia (Duane) Seth of Kane and Penny (Ed) Fragale of Franklin; a sister Helen Johnson of Kane; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Sekelsky and two brothers, Steve Taraska and John Taraska. Friends will be received Wednesday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the gathering space at St. Callistus Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Callistus Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. The Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
