Douglas Mitchell Ewbank, 66 Douglas “Mitch” Ewbank, 66, of Ashland passed away Saturday evening, December 31, 2016 in University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center. He was born December 15, 1950 in Ashland to the late Ronald and Ruth (nee Rockenfelder) Ewbank. Mitch graduated from Ashland High School, Class of 1968. He retired after more than 40 years from the F.E. Myers Company, now Pentair. Mitch was a member of the Ashland Eagles Aerie #2178. He is survived by one daughter, Jody (Chad) Rowe of Polk; one son, Shane (Rachel) Ewbank of Toledo; three grandchildren, Haley Rowe of Polk and Morgan and Bennete Ewbank of Toledo; and one brother, Mike Ewbank of Ashland. In addition to his parents, Mitch is preceded in death by his sister, Ronda (Edward) Fogle of Ashland. Funeral services will be held, Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Reverend Tom Zuercher officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, mailed to 313 Center Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
