John Hendrix

John W. Hendrix, 59, of Como, MS, passed away on June 15, 2016 at his home. He was born on December 12, 1956 in Drew, MS to Mamie Lee Dunnaway Hendrix and Jim Hendrix. He attended Solid Rock Assembly of God in Senatobia. He formerly worked for AT&T, Coca-Cola and Heafner Motors. He enjoyed helping with food drives for local food pantries, visiting shut-ins, and helping widows in the church. A person with a great sense of humor, he was involved with Skatetasia, where children dearly loved him. Mr. Hendrix is survived by his wife of 12 years, Jeanie Giles-Hendrix of Como, MS; one daughter, Lindsey Hendrix of New Albany, KS; one step-daughter, Crustal S. Farrow of Senatobia, MS; two sons, Corey Hendrix (Tasha) and Develin Hendrix of New Albany, KS and 9 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 20, 2016 at Solid Rock Assembly of God in Senatobia. The family will receive friends at the church from 10-11 a.m., preceding the service. Memorial contributions may be sent to Solid Rock Assembly of God or to The Parkinson’s Foundation. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home - Senatobia Chapel has charge of arrangements.
