Hubert L. "Lane" Tutor

Hubert Lane “Lane” Tutor, Jr., 68, of Senatobia, MS, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. Lane was born on November 20, 1947 in Oceanside, CA to Dale King Tutor and Hubert Lane Tutor, Sr. He was an active member of First Baptist Church in Senatobia. He was a graduate of Crowder High School, Northwest MS. Community College and the University of Mississippi. He was an art instructor at Northwest Community College for 35 years, was an avid Ole Miss fan, lifetime alumni of Ole Miss and was an accomplished potter and painter. Lane is survived by two sons, Chad Tutor (Ruth) of Memphis, TN and Jared Tutor of Taylor, MS; one granddaughter, Charlie Kate Tutor; one sister, Lana Tutor Bridges (Murray); two nieces, Kim Simmerman and Allyson Wilkinson; one aunt, Sue Hiatt; 7 great-nieces and great- nephews, BJ, Jessica, Gib, Conley, Ally-Kay, David-Lane, Ahnna-Grace; and a host of family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Susan Tutor and his parents, Hubert and Dale Tutor. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Senatobia, MS. The family will receive friends preceding the memorial service, from 10-11 a.m. in the Welcome Center at the church. The family has requested,in lieu of flowers that memorials be sent to Art Scholarship Fund, NWCC Foundation, PO Box 7015, Senatobia, MS 38668; American Cancer Society, 609 W.
