Ernestine Sprouse

Mrs. Ernestine Hudspeth Sprouse, 76, of Senatobia, MS, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at North Delta Hospice House in Southaven, MS. Mrs. Sprouse was born on January 13, 1940 in Dundee, MS to The Late Zelma Roberson Hudspeth and Sam Hudspeth. She retired as the cafeteria manager at Hernando Middle School and was a faithful member of Horn Lake Assembly of God where she taught Sunday School for many years. She will be remembered as a giving and loving woman who was full of faith in her Lord and was always there for her friends and neighbors. She leaves behind her loving family including her son, Tim Harrell (Loretta) of Senatobia, MS; her granddaughters, Lauren Fletcher (Michael) and Judith Smithey (David); and her great-granddaughter, Lily Fletcher; her brother, Sam Hudspeth, Jr.; her sister, Nell Garcia and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Sprouse; her sister, Betty Ash; her twin brothers, Glen and Gwen Hudspeth; and her parents. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 1pm in the Senatobia Chapel of Ray-Nowell Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Nowell officiating. Interment will follow in Longtown Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Monday from 12pm until service time at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Solid Rock Assembly of God Building Fund, P.O. Box 1127, Senatobia, MS 38668. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home - Senatobia Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
