John Joseph Pianto John Joseph Pianto, age 66 of Branch, passed away on Sunday December 25, 2016 at home. He was born on October 14, 1950 in Evergreen Park, IL, son of the late Augustus and Ethel V. (Boszormenyi) Pianto. John attended De La Salle High School in Chicago, IL, graduated with the class of 1969. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force on November 21, 1969, serving until his honorable discharge on November 19, 1976. John married Donna Crozier on February 20, 1971, at Williams Air Force Base in Mesa, AZ. She preceded him in death on August 31, 2014. John is survived by his 2 sons, Michael Pianto of Custer and Anthony (Jennifer) Pianto of Ludington; grandchildren, Ashley Marie, Anthony, Jr., John Joseph, II, Dominic, Alec, Alecia and Madison Pianto; sister, Cathy (Warner) Thys of Chicago, IL; and son-in-law, Jeffrey Vaughan of Pullman, MI. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Donna; and daughter, Michelle Vaughan. Cremation has taken place a memorial will be held in the spring/summer of 2017.
