NORTH BROOKFIELD -Derek J. "D" Paquette, 50, passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 6,2017 in St. Vincent’s Hospital surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife Kellie A. (Karlon) Paquette of N. Brookfield; a son Jared J. Paquette of Worcester; mother Cynthia E. Varney of N. Brookfield; father Norman E. Paquette & his wife Carole of Brookfield; sisters Alicia Anderson & her husband Darin of N. Brookfield, Jennifer Lane of Long island, NY and Aimee Paquette of W. Brookfield. He also leaves his stepsiblings Meghan Nye and Michael Lawrence both of Brookfield; stepchildren Troy Turpin & his wife Mary of N. Brookfield, Venessa Tod & her husband Nicholas of Rutland and Kelsey Turpin of N. Brookfield; four grandchildren; several aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his nana, Ellen Lane Grant. Derek was a union brick layer with Local 3-MA for 28 years. In his free time, he especially enjoyed going to the ocean, riding his Harley, hiking, camping and spending time with his family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, January 11,2017 from 5-8PM in Pillsbury Funeral Home 44 Gilbert St. North Brookfield. The funeral for Derek will be held on Thursday at 10:00AM in the First Congregational Church Main St. North Brookfield. Burial will be in the spring in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
