Ronald Colvin

Ronald Dean Colvin, age 73, passed away on Sunday night, January 15, 2017 at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine after a courageous three month battle following multiple complications from surgery. Born June 15, 1943 and raised in Lunenburg, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Arthur E. Colvin Sr. and Evelyn M. (Small) Colvin. He graduated from Lunenburg High School in 1961 and from Northeastern University in 1966. The founder and CEO of his own marketing consulting business Adams & Thayer, he retired early to Waldoboro, Maine and Freeport, Grand Bahama where he enjoyed all the pleasures of living on the ocean – boating, walking on the beach, feeding the birds, drinking martinis, eating lobster, golfing, reading, and spending quality time with loved ones. He is survived by his wife of 17 years Nadia Colvin; his brother David B. Colvin and his wife Paula; his sister Marilyn L. Stewart and her husband E. Scot Stewart; his son Christopher D. Colvin and his wife Kellie; his daughters Kelley Colvin Hill and her husband Keith Hill, Courtney D. Colvin and her husband Jose Portillo, and Natalie Warganik and her husband Clifford Thifault; his three grandchildren Ryan, Bradley, and Taylor Colvin; his first wife Pamela C. Markley; his many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and close friends. He is predeceased by his eldest brother Arthur E. Colvin Jr. in 2000 and by his nephew Arthur E. Colvin III in 2001. Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, January 23, 2017 and a Memorial Service at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, both at Hall Funeral Home in Waldoboro, Maine. A private burial will take place at North Cemetery in Lunenburg, Massachusetts. Flower arrangements are being organized by Shelley’s Flowers of Waldoboro, Maine, and memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Waldoboro Building Fund.
