Evelyn Jones

Millinocket – Evelyn A. Jones, 83, wife of the late Vaughn “Porky” Jones, died Monday, December 05, 2016 after a long illness at a Millinocket health care facility. She was born February 6, 1933 in Millinocket, the daughter of Alex and Ruby (Rogers) Segee. Evelyn enjoyed camping, square dancing, knitting, and travelling with her sister and best friend, Anita. She is survived by three sons, John Jones and his wife Nancy, Dana Jones and his wife Laura, and Mike Jones and his wife Kim, all of Millinocket; seven grandchildren, Brian, Kilie, Julie, Stephen, Allen-Michael, Katie, and Tom; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Merrill and Doug Segee; a sister, Anita Moscone; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband, Evelyn was predeceased by her parents, a brother, William Segee, and a sister, Mildred Pasanen. The family would like to thank the staff at Katahdin Health Care for the excellent care given to our mother. Friends are invited to visit with the family 1-3 P.M. Thursday, December 8 at the Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack Street, Millinocket, where funeral services will begin at 3 P.M. with the Rev. Terry Given officiating.
