James “J Ray” Johnson age 75, husband of Patricia Tuggle Johnson, died Thursday Dec. 1, 2016 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond KY. James was a brick mason; he was born in Madison County to the late John R. Johnson and Anna Mae Malicote Johnson, he was also a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. James was also preceded in death by his sons Lowell Wayne Johnson and Roy Dean Johnson. James is survived by his wife Patricia Tuggle Johnson, his children: Sherri Powell and Rodney Johnson, and step children Billy (Shan) Isaacs and Bobby Gene Isaacs, 4 grandchildren; Michael Himes, Halley Powell, Joshua Isaacs, Christopher Isaacs, and three great-grandchildren Mason Himes, Layla Himes, and London Howard. Funeral services will be Monday Dec. 5, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Lakes Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Jack Allen and Rev. Kenny Davis officiating, burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.
