Gerald Wayne Pearson age 90 of Brown Street, passed away at the VA Medical Center on Tuesday, December 6, 2016.
Gerald was born in Madison County to the late Carl Eli and Clara Pearson. He was a member of Silver Creek Baptist Church, lifetime member of the DAV, had been a member of the Waco Masonic Lodge #338 F&AM for over 60 years, and was a WWII U.S. Marine Corp Veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Viola Harrison Pearson, his children, by his first wife Juanita Rose Pearson, Richard (Teresa) Pearson, Paul (Beverly) Pearson, Gerald S. (Marlene) Pearson, Vickie (Joe) Lakes, and Charlotte (Ken) Thumb; his adopted son Arthur Lee Giles; three sisters, Sally Congleton, Roberta Pearson, Faye Carol Turpin; one brother Beverly Pearson; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
People who knew him will miss his beautiful smile. A Marine has gone home.
Graveside services with military honors will be Friday, December 9, 2016, 11:00 AM at Berea Cemetery Mausoleum with Rev. Dennis Hisle officiating. A private family viewing will be from 10-10:30 AM at Lakes Funeral Home
