Rosemary Hutchison

Rose Hutchison was born to Faye (Hutchison) McKenzie and Robert Hutchison on February 11, 1951 in Algona, Iowa. Rose died on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville, Iowa at the age of 65.<br><br>Rose graduated from Algona High School in 1969 with honors, she prided herself on never cracking a book. Rose then attended UNI and traveled the country, before settling for a time in Colorado Springs, CO with her family. She returned home in 1976 to Algona, when she united in love with her long time sweetheart David (Goat) Simpson. The couple set out to raise their family, which included two children, Jean Maree and Briana, and many pets. In 1989 she sought out after her love of knowledge and returned to school at Iowa Lakes Community College, graduating in 1991 with an Associate of Applied Science with a major in accounting. Rose enjoyed her time a college and said she benefited most from the friends she made there, including her lifelong friend, Theresa Newkirk. While driving to and from college Rose fell in love with an acreage where she said they would grow old together. Her time on the acreage allowed her to enjoy many of her other passions including gardening her plants and flowers, hunting and fishing, finding a berry to pick or hunting a morel mushroom and bird watching. In her down time Rose enjoyed reading a good book, crocheting, and sewing, making and giving gifts for others, and baking up a great meal or treat. Rose made a home where everyone was welcome and many became part of her extended family. Rose had many Surrogate children including but not limited to Amanda, Sarah, Angie, Jen, Brenda, Travis and Tom. Rose made everyone feel special and was the life of the party and she loved to throw a good party. Rosemary Hutchison will be forever missed by all those she has touched in life, for to know her was to love her.<br><br>Left to cherish her memory is her lifelong love David (Goat) Simpson, and her two daughters, Jean (Hutchison) Radunz and Briana Hutchison. Four grandchildren, Jacqueline Radunz and Jacob Radunz, Ivy Joy and Nicholas Hutchison. Her sister, Roberta and brother, Roy, many extended family members nieces and nephews, numerous of friends including her great friend, Donna Jean Rittgers.<br><br>Rose was preceded in death by her father Robert Hutchison, mother, Faye McKenzie, sister, Donna Maree Hutchison and son-in-law, Jason Radunz.<br>
