Richard T. “Dick” Harvey, 81, of Decatur, Indiana died Monday, December 12, 2016 at Adams Woodcrest. Richard was born in Adams County, IN on June 30, 1935 to the late Cecil E. and Bertha L. (Drummond) Harvey. Dick married Lois A. Bauer on December 1, 1955; she preceded him in death on May 29, 2007. Dick attended Common Ground church. He retired on July 7, 1997 from Central Soya after 44 years of service. He is survived by his three sons, Jeffrey R. Harvey of Decatur, Mark D. (Vickie A.) Harvey of Geneva and Timothy L. (Kenji) Harvey of Payne, OH; five grandchildren, Melissa (Clint) Kaehr, Brittany (Chase) Wagner, David Harvey, Megan Harvey and Mackenzie Harvey; 7 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; three sisters, Gladys Braden, Naomi Krueckeberg both of Decatur and Betty (Josh) Zurcher of Monroe; his dog Max and cat Sam. Dick was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 16th also at the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Stirratt officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery. Memorials are to Make-A-Wish-Foundation.
