Jim Eichhorn, 78, of Decatur, Indiana passed away at Evergreen Assisted Living, (his residence) on Monday, December 12, 2016. He was born on June 19, 1938 to the late Robert E. and Mary J. (Bailey) Eichhorn in Bluffton, Indiana. He was a former co-owner with his father-in-law of State Line Auto Parts from 1963-1976, also a truck driver for Ed McCalla Trucking and a member of the Teamster #414 in Ft. Wayne, IN. He is survived by 2 sons, Kent (Sue) Eichhorn of Decatur, IN and Adam Eichhorn of Whiteland, IN; 1 daughter, Cindy (Les) Smith of Anthem, AZ; 1 sister, Joan (Dick) Morris of Bluffton, IN; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A Memorial Gathering will be held from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Haggard- Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at St. Paul Cemetery, Wells County. Memorials may be given to A.C.C.F. Angel Heart Fund.
