Kathleen J. (Ludecke) Marshall, 74, of Meriden, beloved wife of the late Francis G. Marshall, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at the Masonic Home in Wallingford, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Meriden on Dec. 21, 1942, daughter to the late Henry and Lucy Ludecke. She graduated from Maloney High School. She attended St. Rose church and St. Laurent church. She worked for the Franciscan Society and enjoyed being very active and helping others. She was also enjoyed watching the UCONN women’s basketball team and was an avid bowler in her youth. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and wife. She is survived by her brother Alan Ludecke, of Florida, and her three children. Daughters Wendy Tack of Meriden, Shelly Tack of Southington, and a son, Wayne Tack Jr of Meriden. Her seven grandchildren, Timothy and Christopher Tack, of Southington, and Brandon, Kassandra, Ariana, Olivia and Alyssa Tack, all of Meriden. She is also survived by a niece, Heather, and a nephew, Eric, and several cousins. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 10:30 am from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden and at 11 am at St. Laurent Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday morning prior to the service from 9 to 10:30 am.
