Ronald Prostka

Ronald J Prostka 75 entered into peace on Tuesday December 13,2016 in Enfield, CT. Ronald was born in Jamaica N.Y. on March 5,1941 the son of the late Walter and Helen Bodendorf Prostka and resided in Enfield most of his life. He was predeceased by his loving wife of forty-seven years Evelyn Rae Benbow in 2011. Prior to his retirement, Ron had been employed as a truck driver by Texaco and Shell Oil Companies for thirty-eight years. In his leisure time Ron enjoyed playing scrabble, Nascar races, and spending winters in Florida. He was an avid Yankees fan and a member of the Million Mile Club. Ron is survived by a daughter and son in-law Kimberly and John Scavotto of Enfield, a grandson Adam J. Scavotto, also a brother and sister in-law Richard and Linda Prostka of Valley Stream, NY and a sister in law Carol Wayne of Aloha, OR. Ron leaves one nephew, Eric Wayne and two nieces Corinna Wayne and Tammi McKenna. He also leaves Dick and Noree Porga, David Rockwal, Beverly and David Bishop, Joy and Richard DiMaggio who were all very dear to him. Ron’s family will receive relatives and friends at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd Enfield on Saturday December 17th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm a Memorial service will start at 4:00 pm Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Hazardville Cemetery.
