Virginia Lee Thompsen, 88 of San Jacinto, California passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2016. She was born on Sunday, March 18, 1928 in Bell, California to Gordon and Buella Maring. She is survived by her son, Randy Ellis, three grandchildren, Shannon Hlasnicek, Jeremy Ellis, and Janey Ellis, three great grandchildren, Ryan, Nick and Noelle, two great-great grandchildren, Ryder and Riley, and two sisters, Diane Lukins and Valerie McNabb. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Ellis. Virginia was very active in the community of San Jacinto in her younger years. She owned and operated the Virginia Lee Hotel in San Jacinto from 1975 to 1996, she was the president of the San Jacinto Women's Club, and was also involved with the San Jacinto Library. However, Virginia's true passion was for her loving family. She had the privilege of seeing five generations of her family. Virginia was a kind hearted and generous woman who was also a tenacious go-getter. Virginia was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing her. Burial will take place privately at Rose Hills Memorial Park where Virginia will be laid to rest with her beloved, Ray.
