Linda Stubbs-Brassel

Linda Jo Stubbs-Brassel, of Russellville, unexpectedly departed this life on December 3, 2016, at UAMS in Little Rock. She was born December 13, 1943, in Atkins, the daughter of the late Casey and Juanita Stubbs and was preceded in death by a niece, Susan Heather Stubbs; and a step-son, Billy Brassel II. Linda attended public schools in Atkins and went on to graduate from Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach, California. She was united in holy matrimony to Bill Brassel in July of 1978 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She professed her faith in Jesus Christ and was an active member of Restoration Church in Russellville. She loved to entertain her friends and family with fun games, cake walks, and small prizes – and she made sure she never left anyone out. Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her friends and survivors which include husband, Bill Brassel of Russellville; his children, Terri Garay of Torrance, California and Debra Shinne of Platteville, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Michael Ramirez, Christina Ramirez, Eric Brassel, and Dillon Shinne of California; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Shirley Stubbs of Conway; nieces, Terri Adkison of Conway, and Melissa Deerman and Shelly Michaels of Austin, Texas; nephews, Derek Stubbs of Belgium, and Ryan Stubbs of Fayetteville; great-nieces, Andrea Willis of Austin, Texas, Ashton Adkison and Allison Hilliard of Little Rock, Courtney Craig of New York, New York, Victoria Smith of Conway, and Erin, Megan, and Carys Stubbs of Pelham, Alabama; great-nephews, Jordan Adkison of Ft. Worth, Texas, Chandler Craig of New York, New York, Quest Doll of Charleston, South Carolina, Gareth Stubbs of Pelham, Alabama, and Keagan and Kameron Brinkley of Austin, Texas; and great-great-nephews Evan and Austin Willis of Austin, Texas. Funeral services are 3:00 PM, Thursday, December 8, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. James Findley officiating. Private burial is in Atkins City Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
