Joey Wayne Thompson, age fifty-nine of Lewisburg, died Monday, October 20, 2014 in Marshall Medical Center. Mr. Thompson was a native of Marshall County, Tennessee and the son of Amos Melvin and Edwina Smith Thompson of Lewisburg. He was retired from Nissan in quality control. He was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son, Austin Tyler Thompson of Lewisburg, brother, Barry Thompson, also of Lewisburg, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Thompson. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mars Hill Cemetery. The family will be at London Funeral Home Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. for visitation. London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
