Siggy passed away peacefully at Clinton Public Hospital on Sunday, November 20, 2016. Born in Tubingen, Germany, on November 29, 1936, Sigvard Hugo Stelzer of Vanastra, formerly of London, was in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Norma (née Lauzon) Stelzer for 55 years. Loving father of Philip Stelzer (Darlene) of Vanastra and Cheryl McLean (Robert) of Mount Elgin. Cherished Grandpa of Anthony Stelzer, Cynthia Stelzer, Cassandra Tugwood (Jeff), and Great-Grandpa of Chase. Dear brother of Ingrid Stelzer of Ireland, Rai Stelzer (Rosaleen) of Brantford, and brother-in-law of Judy Laverty (Bruce) of Oakville, Bruce Lauzon of Cornwall and Raymond Baker of Cornwall. Predeceased by his sister-in-law Maureen Baker. Visitation will be held at McGlynn Family Funeral Home, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Wednesday, November 23rd, from 7-9 p.m. (with Parish Prayers at 7:45 p.m.). Siggy’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church, 22 Victoria St., Seaforth, on Thursday, November 24, 2016, at 11 a.m., with a reception immediately following at the Seaforth Legion, Branch 156. Cremation will also follow. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or Parkinson Society would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
