Pete passed away peacefully at Seaforth Manor Nursing Home on Thursday, September 29, 2016, in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Sylvia (nee Wharton) for 57 years. Loving father Sherry Barth (Trevor) of Kirkton, Pete Gatze Brommer (Sandra) of Clinton, Perry Brommer (Nancy) of Pine Lake and David Brommer of St. Marys. Cherished Grandpa of April Tang (Jay), Johnathon Barth, Nicholas Pete Brommer, Heather Brommer, Justin Brommer, Rachel Brommer, Jessica Lynn Brommer, Nicole Victoria Brommer, Emma Christine Brommer, and Great-Grandpa of Sawyer Brommer. Dear brother of Henderika Shearer (Thomas) of London and Jenny Wilts (Douwe) of Clinton. Pete will also be missed by his siblings-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held at McGlynn Family Funeral Home, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Sunday, October 2nd from 2-4 p.m. A funeral service to celebrate Pete’s life will take place in the funeral home on Monday, October 3rd at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in Harpurhey Cemetery followed by a reception at the Seaforth Legion, Branch 156.
