The family of Patricia Marion Shepherd (née Simpson) born November 25th, 1948, sadly announce her sudden passing after a lengthy illness on November 15th, 2016. Patricia is predeceased by her parents Robert and Evelyn (née Leeson) Simpson of Rosthern, Saskatchewan. Beloved wife of James Victor Shepherd of Kincardine. Loving mother of Jamie Shepherd and his wife Valerie of Kincardine and Lynn Shepherd of Hamilton. Missed by grandson Vaughn Shepherd. Predeceased by her brother John Simpson of Winnipeg and sister Kathy Tomyn of Prince Albert. Well-loved and admired, she was Valedictorian of her high school class, attended the University of Saskatchewan and graduated with a degree in Psychology. Pat was a world traveller, enjoyed golf and tennis and most recently pickle ball with her friends. She was an avid reader with a great wit, which her family and friends enjoyed as well as her eloquence and generosity of spirit. Pat was adored and loved by many and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine on Sunday, November 20th, 2016 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. A private family service will take place. Memorial donations to the Kincardine Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
