James "Jim" Pannell

James “Jim” Pannell, of Kincardine, passed away peacefully at his home, following a lengthy illness, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the age of 80 years. Beloved husband of Linda Pannell. Dear father of Deborah Pannell (Wayne Burke) and Melissa (Anthony) Matthews, all of Kincardine. Loving “Pops” to Jess Curry, Kylee Curry (Evan Koller), Lily, Kate James and Ella Matthews. Survived by his brothers, Roy Pannell of Toronto and Walter (Marion) Pannell of New Liskeard, his sisters, Polly Ayotte of Brockville, Diane Paleczny of Alberta and Lola Boucher of St. Catharines and his sister-in-law, Susan Pannell of St. Catharines. Predeceased by his brothers, Jack, Russell and Dennis Pannell and his sister Alice Pannell. Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews. Jim was a man who had a zest for life, he was a great entertainer and entrepreneur and his spirit will live on. Until next time... walk on the sunny side. Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, on Tuesday, December 27, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Kincardine United Church on Wednesday, December 28, at 1:00 p.m., with Crystal Morais officiating. Spring interment, Kincardine Cemetery. Memorial donations to Kincardine, Ainsdale, Somerhill or Blackhorse Junior Golf Programs or a charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
