Barbara Ellen McFadyen (née Edmiston) of Kincardine, passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre-Kincardine, on Friday, December 16, 2016 in her 81st year. Beloved wife of Duncan and mother of Scott (Nancy) McFadyen of Smiths Falls, Sue (Brian) Samson of Hamilton, Eric (Julie) McFadyen of Kincardine and Kate (Dave) Wright of Hanmer. Dear grandmother of Erica, Rob, Ally, Jeffrey, Andrew and Tegan. Survived by her sister Jane Guest of Kincardine. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her brother-in-law Jack Guest and sister-in-law Florence (Hugh) Fitzsimmons. Ellen was a retired nurse who volunteered for many years with the V.O.N. and the Cancer Society. She was a longtime member of the Kincardine Theatre Guild and an avid bridge player and enjoyed Tai Chi.
