Dr. W. A. Burgman Born at Melville, Sask., Nov. 28, 1915 Died in London, Ont. Dec. 20th, 2016 Survived by his son David, (London), Ontario and daughter Ann, Wabunum, Alberta. Predeceased by his wife, Enid (2010) and his son, James (1961), brothers Dr. George, Niagara Falls, Ontario (2004) and Dr. Robert, Blairmore, Alberta (2005). He served with the RCAF for 5 years during World War II and then attended the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry, graduating in 1950 with the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery. He established a practice in Preston, Ontario performing surgery at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Both Robert and Bill moved to Germany for a period to provide services to our troops/families stationed there in Lahr and Baden-Baden. He was an active member of the local (Waterloo-Wellington) Dental Society and served 6 years on the board of the Ontario Dental Association. Also active in local community affairs being a member and one time President of the Preston Chamber of Commerce. When he wasn't supporting charitable work with the Preston - Hespeler Rotary Club, he could be found golfing, skiing, curling and traveling abroad. Cremation has taken place, the family will hold a private committal service. Arrangements by Lounsbury Funeral Home.
