David Lloyd Steacy, 71, passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Garden Street Site on Saturday, January 7, 2017. Survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Betty Steacy (nee Kelly); his dear son David Paul (Mattea) Steacy; two adoring grandchildren Alaina and David “Chad” Steacy; sisters Nancy, Judy, Gloria, Patsy and Shirley as well as his brothers Robert and Richard; sister-in-law Vera Kelly; and many nieces and nephews. David will also be missed by many close friends and neighbours. Predeceased by parents George and Violet (nee Lawson) Steacy, a brother Terry Steacy and twin daughters Chantel and Crystal Steacy.

In keeping with David's wishes cremation has taken place at Roselawn Crematorium, Maitland and a private graveside memorial will be held at a later date. Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street, E. has been entrusted with the arrangements. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to Brockville and District Hospital Foundation - Palliative Care would be appreciated by the family.
