Blair, Barry William (Bare)

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at the Brockville General Hospital, Garden Street Site on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the age of 71 years. Dear son of Violet Fraser and beloved husband of Laura (Billings) Blair for 50 years. Cherished father of Barry Blair (Jo-Anne) and Laura U'Ren (Brian). Dear grandfather of Samantha, Mallorie, Rachel and Victoria. Also survived by his brothers Gary Blair (Frances) and Bruce Blair (Sharon). Fondly remembered by nieces, nephews and his brother-in-law Charles Billings (Anita). Predeceased by his father Elmer (Bucky) Blair; his step-father Bertrand Fraser and by a brother Robert in infancy. Special thanks to the BGH and Palliative Care for the loving care that Bare received over the past 2 months.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville, Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 11 am until 1pm. A Royal Canadian Legion Tribute and Celebration of Life ceremony will take place in the chapel on Wednesday commencing at 1 pm with a reception to follow at the Legion. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Lung Association or to the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 96 Building Fund will be gratefully acknowledged.
