Lyons, Lula Ethel Viola- age 79, of Yarmouth, N.S. passed away on Friday, December, 30, 2016. Born in Pembroke on November 24, 1937 she was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Lula (McGray) Lyons. Lula was a long term taxi cab driver for Town Taxi where she worked for over 35 years until she retired at 76, even then she was still helping people carry their groceries into their homes. An outgoing person Lula was always friendly and helpful to everyone she met. In her spare time she was an avid golfer. She is survived by her daughters; Roberta (Shawn) Goodwin, Yarmouth, Estell Mamm, Brankee, Saskatchewan, Sons; Greg Miner, New Minas, Brothers; Morton (Joyce) P.E.I., Herbert, Ontario, Sister; Gretchen, Colebrook and Granddaughter V’Sheal Lyons. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her stepmother Lyda Lyons, Brothers; Robert, Sifton, Ashton, Ellsworth and Chester (“Ken”) and sister; Barbara. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. At family request there will be no visiting hours or funeral service. Interment will follow at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Friends of Gilles Boudreau Cancer Help Fund.
